"I celebrate myself, and sing myself." - Walt Whitman
"It's not your job to like me...it's mine!" - Byron Katie
"Real beauty isn't about symmetry or weight or makeup; it's about looking life right in the face and seeing all its magnificence reflected in your own."

As you may have noticed I've shared several quotes in this week's blog post; five to be exact. Why? First of all, because I cannot express enough how important this weeks topic is. If I have to beat you over the head with it, I will. Second of all, because my most recent assignment to my 6-week challenge awesome 8 was for each of them to share at least five things they love about themselves.
Would you be able to give me five things you love about yourself? Go ahead, write them down.
Harder than you thought? Right?
Why does this make us so uncomfortable? Why is it easier to tear ourselves down, than to build ourselves up? Finding reasons to love yourself is more challenging than you might realize for a myriad of different reasons. It's up to you to get to the root of it all.
When we stop to contemplate what we love about ourselves, or even if we love ourselves, our inner-most thoughts are revealed. Suddenly we have a front row seat to the nagging, repetitive thoughts that dance in our heads on a daily basis. Yes, this happens constantly, every day, probably without your full awareness.
I will tell you right now. If you don't start combatting these negative thoughts...if you don't learn how to love yourself as you are right now, your goals will remain out of reach for the rest of your life. In my humble opinion, your thoughts are the most important thing you can change to increase the quality of your life.
You are your thoughts.
So I put my BOOMers to the test. Could they name five things they love about themselves and how did the process make them feel?
Now let's hear from them in the videos below.
Pat "PD" Duran
Shari "MF" Lewis
There you have it. Can you see how important our thoughts are? How crucial they are to our ultimate success? If we don't believe in ourselves, and I mean true, no-bullshit, ride-or-die belief...we are lost. Love you the most. Unconditionally. Unashamed. Be your biggest fan. Right now. Not when you are "fill in the blank". NOW. Be the person you need.
It is not selfish, it is necessary. We have this one life.
Til' next time, see you in the Boom Room.
