Thanks for the question! With these types of questions I always like to start by saying that I am, obviously, not a MD and that especially if these symptoms are chronic (occurring regularly) and painful please consult a physician. There are some potential causes that can be serious (a very small percentage of cases end up being so) and require treatment. With that out of the way, especially with these recurring in the same muscle groups, it could be exercise induced. Here are the most common causes of muscle tremors/twitches –
In order to isolate a specific cause some follow up questions are when does the twitching generally occur (if it is time specific)? Is it after exercise? Where specifically is it localized? Those answers can help to inform what the most likely cause is. A couple of the low hanging fruit mitigation strategies are to make sure that you are well hydrated, address the potential nutrient deficiencies outlined above (Vitamin D, B, and calcium), and don’t consume nicotine. Feel free to follow up with additional info and I’ll be happy to delve into some more specific treatment/mitigation options.
