Join us on Friday, March 22nd at 6:45pm for Barbells & Pilates! Our March influencer is our very own Sarah Smysor Panning, PMA® -CPT! Sarah is a dedicated BOOMer who frequents the 5am class. Some of you may know that she is also an incredible Pilates instructor who owns the Denver based Pilates studio, Pillar of Strength.
Sarah began her career in 2001 at a PhysicalMind Institute certifying studio, where she trained clients and taught and mentored students. A firm believer in continuing education and specialized training, Sarah is a 2018 graduate of the prestigious Kathy Grant Heritage Training in Pilates, and completed a pre- and post-natal certification from The Center for Women’s Fitness in 2009. She continues to teach and mentor new instructors through Pilates Sports Center's Teacher Training program.
Pillar of Strength is a boutique Pilates and Gyrotonic studio, offering private, semi-private, trio and small group classes. The studio is centrally located in Denver, near I-25 and Colorado Blvd.
Here is what you can expect from our Barbells & Pilates specialty BOD:
- An introduction/Q&A with Sarah
- An intense 40-minute session of Pilates led by Sarah
- Expert advice on properly engaging the core (brief education on diastasis recti)
- A 15-minute upper-body strengthening and sculpting session utilizing dumbbells and Versa Loops led by Coach Loni
- Celebratory and well earned "Pies & Lattes"
